Ekiti LG poll witnesses low turnout

The Ekiti Local Government election held across the 16 council areas of the state on Saturday witnessed a low turnout and was generally peaceful.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that apart from a lone incident of shooting said to have occurred at a polling unit in Ikere Ekiti, there was no confirmed report of violence.

Witnesses said the incident began at Okitiko area of Ikere Ekiti on Ise/Emure Ekiti road after political thugs reportedly tried to snatch the ballot boxes of votes already cast from officials of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC). Read more

Male Birth Control Testing Stopped After Men’s Testicles Start Exploding In India

Male birth control testing has been stopped in India after 30 test subjects testicles exploded during sexual intercourse.

The testing of the male birth control involved 139 men under the age of 41 who were living with their wives and had at least two children each.

The men were given a single dose of the male birth control shot and then followed up by doctors for six months. Their wives were also monitored to find out if they became pregnant. Read more

Buratai inaugurates multi-million Naira projects in Depot, NMS
