SERAP urges NASS to ensure timely passage of 2020 budget

A civil society group, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), on Tuesday called on the National Assembly to ensure timely passage of the 2020 Budget for effective implementation.

Mr Adetokunbo Mumuni, SERAP Executive Director, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

NAN reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday presented the 2020 Budget of N10.33 trillion to a joint session of the 9th National Assembly. Read more

Insurgency affects over 300 health workers, 60 facilities in Yobe – Official

The Yobe Government says more than 300 health workers and 60 health facilities have been affected by activities of insurgents in the state.

The state Director of Public Health, Dr Hauwa Goni, disclosed this on Tuesday an occasion organised by the state government and Maternal, Newborn and Child Programme (MNCH2) to improve access to healthcare services in post conflict setting.

A total number of 90 health workers were attacked, 22 were killed, 300 were displaced and 60 health facilities were completely destroyed during the insurgency,” she said. Read more

American rapper; Clifford Joseph Harris, popularly known as T.I was on his podcast few days ago and he revealed his 50 greatest rappers.

The American act who has an identity for not always shying away from his opinion on certain situations no matter the consequence named his 50 greatest rappers and he shockingly ommitted Nicki Minaj. T.I’s list has brought a lot of criticism his way as many Hip-Hop artiste believe he ommitted Nicki from the list just based on mere hatred and jealousy. However without showing any signs that there was an error in his list, T.I explained why he did not put the “Megatron” rapper on the list on another episode of his podcast and instead opted from Lil Kim.
